the beautiful game and the ugly game

The FA cup is a great tourment where the beautiful game is played by great players. Not on saturday it was not.The beautiful game became the ugly game. As a supporter you pay your hard earned cash to watch a team make no attempt to score even though it has the power to do so. Funny that

The world cup what world cup

The world cup, the greatest tornment in the world which we have won once is now on the political agenda. The question remains will that solve the current dissatisfaction with english football. Does politics and football mix, not in my book. Politicians only get involved in football when they want to score a political point. We want to host the world cup in 2018, we have not built the national stadium yet in 2007. Funny that.

Two days after Saturday

I would like to say congratulations to our rugby and cricket teams for winning the matches, now i hope our football team will follow suit. The quality of defending over the weekend was poor and cetain teams were more guilty than others ie spurs, blackburn and westham. However the quality of referring was on the poor side ie wigan. When is offside not offside and when is a penalty not a penalty. Answer, when the referee does not see it even though everyone in the stadium saw it. Funny that.

football stats and science

I have never really understood why stats and science take priority over creativity and flexibilty. The management of english players seems to be based on what you should not be doing rather than what you can do. We must not rely on stats and science to play football. Actually a football match is 90 minutes of chaos and making the right decisions as you find them. English football desrves better.

New Day Same Story

Just getting my feet under the table and setting things up. One thing that i notice though since it is a saturday is that "football will always be football" and spurs will always be spurs.

First press conference

I would like to thank the footballing community for the opportunity to serve as the virtual director of english football. In my humble opinion english football has been drifting in a sea of negativity and a lack of creative exposure. I hope to offer solutions to a sport that is causing friction to the great land of England. I would welcome questions from the football community and endeavour not to be dull, passionless, not tactically aware or avade simple straightforward questions.
